Ideas are great, but without action can be frustrating
OK, so we all know I like to spit out lots of different ideas, and have done so over the past few years. However, with those ideas comes lots of frustration, because they just stay ideas, right. Well, consider this a fresh start to a new year, and the possibility of executing on some of them. So Logonav.com was my first project that I took from idea to something, and although it has yet to become what I originally imagined, it has become something of value, at least to me. I have been able to find local businesses that I know the name of, faster than using yellowpages.com or any other online tool. This idea of having companies sign up for a subscription just for an online directory doesn't seem to have great legs, however this has now morphed into something new, and something I think can provide real value in a different setting, although providing similar tools to the consumer and the businesses that are found on it. I call it "A Local Touch". I own the url, and am working with a touch screen manufacturer to help optimize the interface for this environment. The revenue model, advertising with local companies that want access to tourists at their travel campground, their hotel. The product, a giant iPhone for the lobby allowing consumers to Touch to find local restaurants, shops, etc. and get valuable information, such as a map they can print or send to their phone, make a call for reservations, print out coupons, etc. You get the picture. Touch is here to stay, so why not make it accessible for everyone, and make it big and easy.

Our Idea Group revisited
Last we left it, I think was over a bottle of Patron and steaks that Haggs brought up. I think what came of it was one too many hangovers, and a failed attempt by me to inspire. Why that is...I guess I am still wondering, but what I intended was to at least end my time sitting on the sidelines. Maybe it is reading all of the articles in Inc., Entrepreneur, FSB, etc. where you see such simple businesses be so successful. Anyways, since we've last met, I've stuck it out there, invested personal dollars and rediculous time into what you all know as LogoNav.com. That being said, I have further plans to continue to try to bring ideas to life, and that is why I wanted to reincarnate this, Our Idea Group, coined OIG. So welcome back, and let the ideas flow, and let's fine some fun in the thing we call life!!!
